Umduduzi hospice for terminal children gets a hand-up from Netcare Alberlito. In need of every cent it can muster, the Durban-based Umduduzi Hospice Care for Children this year alone have taken 255 new children under its wing. Funds collected by Netcare Alberlito through the sale of #HatsOn4CPC tickets have been handed over to a children’s hospice home which sees to the care of thousands of children living with terminal illnesses.
Co-founder of the children’s hospice, Tracey Brand said the NGO relies solely on outside support in providing palliative care and that they were affiliated with both state and private hospitals throughout KwaZulu-Natal. “It is such a worthy cause,” she said. “We are so thankful for the generous support off Netcare Alberlito as well as those who supported the initiative,” said Brand.
