When the Wisconsin Humane Society told the public they were experiencing hard times in the coronavirus pandemic, people listened. Only five days after their message, every single dog was adopted or taken into foster care. To be exact, that’s 319 doggos that are sleeping on couches instead of cages right now.

On March 9, Italy implemented a national quarantine as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. It gets pretty boring sitting at home all day, but residents have found pretty spectacular ways to entertain themselves, like starting a choir with their neighbors from the balcony.

Not all heroes wear capes. These days, they wear masks. Healthcare professionals all around the world risk their lives every day to cure those infected with COVID-19, and their sacrifice hasn’t gone unnoticed. Every day, at 7:00 PM, New York City shows their appreciation for the medical workers fighting to stop the spread of coronavirus by applauding and cheering from their balconies.

Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation donated a whopping $1 million in grants that will support undocumented workers, the children of front-line health workers, the incarcerated, and elderly and homeless populations in New York City and Los Angeles. Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation saw Rihanna’s generous act and said “same” when they contributed another $1 million to the fund. It’s worth noting that Rihanna’s foundation has also donated $5 million to food banks, testing, healthcare worker training, and respiratory supplies. We are truly under her umbrella.

Fashion designers like Christian Siriano and Dov Charney have started using their resources to help combat the shortage of masks in the pandemic. Sirano’s team has been hard at work sewing from home, and has produced thousands of masks for healthcare workers in need of protection.
